Buffalo Bills Based on Ticket Sales One Might Think that the Bills Have Already had a Successful Season

This is what it has come to in Buffalo, bragging on ticket sales in spite of still several non-sold out games.  As I've oft said in recent seasons, a better indicator would be the gate for all 8 home games.  It is no doubt great that the team has sold approximately 55,000 season tickets and has most games sold out, but that and what now, seven bucks will get fans a cold one on game day.  Given the media hype one might be led to believe that if the Bills completely sell out all 8 home games including the Toronto one, that the methodologies of Jauron (and Levy) have been validated.

Buffalo Bills As Offseason Dust Settles, Talk Once Again Heads List of Positives Heading Into the '09 Season

Another offseason, another set of wasted opportunities, miscalculations, and bumbling personnel moves made more for TV than for relevance on the football field.  Between players getting arrested for crimes, the Bills' latest big media move player acquisition, Terrell Owens, finds himself focusing on making a reality show.  It's all made for the Buffalo Bills.  And some wonder why fewer and fewer people are taking this team seriously anymore.

Buffalo Bills Mixed Results for Bills in Draft;  Team Fails to Optimize Opportunity

To the Bills' credit, this was a poor draft for interior linemen and even the talent at OT was not bountiful.  Still, the reason that the organization is in the mess that they are in to begin with is because the team has been perpetually run devoid of any planning ahead much less any kind of significant vision as a whole.  Either way, the Bills did far from much to indicate that they are not in a world of hurt this coming autumn and in my opinion, utterly unviewable for anyone looking for competence on the football field.

  Bills Throwback and Go Retro

Buffalo Bills Bills Throwback and Go Retro

No, I'm not talking about the uniforms.  I'm talking about the team.  As a franchise, this organization, of which I am no longer proud to be a fan of with interest that has terminally diminished until its post Wilson-era status is resolved, has had only one decent period or era.  That was the Polian era.  And quite fitting it is that Polian was fired by Wilson, presumably for non-football reasons.

Buffalo Bills One Can Only Laugh at these Bills Anymore!

The Bills front office sure are shrewd negotiators!  Put the Donadope-assembled, Levy/Brandon-retained Bills brain trust front office along with a player and his agent in a conference room with a preagreed upon deal for X-number of dollars over so-many-years, and after they emerge without the player or his agent having said a word, the player would have a deal for X+Y number of dollars over the same so-many-years, and even more guaranteed money.  Think I'm joking?

More Folly By Bills Suggests That Fans Should Finally Just Tune Out this Fall

Buffalo Bills More Folly By Bills Suggests That Fans Should Finally Just Tune Out this Fall

The latest carrot on the end of the stick that the fans will never get a taste of is Terrell Owens.  Apart from the rumored reports that Trent Edwards, who just signed his own writ of "cease an desist" in Buffalo if true, is now calling the personnel shots in Buffalo with apparent token figure Russ Brandon serving as who knows what practically speaking, the fact that the Bills just signed Owens, which absolutely no other team showed a real or serious interest in, is merely the next "let them eat cake" moment by this Bills organization.  Oh sure, the season will be interesting this fall, but so is the plummeting stock market "interesting" too.

  The Future of the Bills

Buffalo Bills The Future of the Bills?

This piece was written for another site back following the draft of 2004, a draft which after the requisite two to three years after analysis, has proven to be a complete bust beyond Lee Evans.  In it I pointed out the vacuous methods applied by the front office of the Bills in building the team.  The people in place back then are the same people still in place today.  As a result, the team is worse off than it was in '04, which was worse off when it was when Tom Donadope got this enormous ball of vacuity rolling down the path that has led the team to this point with its fans in despair.  More such articles will be posted this offseason as I find them.

So What's Wrong With the Bills?

So What's Wrong With the Bills?

That's the simple question.  The answer is lots of things.  For starters, the team, from the owner down to the front office to the personnel guys that run the draft and free agency, to the coaches and those that pick them, and now even to the players that prefer to stay indoors where it's nice and warm and think that a career losing coach should stay on because "they like him," is run emotionally!

Wilson Satisfied with Direction of Bills; He is Right!

Wilson Satisfied with Direction of Bills;  He is Right!

Then again negligent owner Ralph Wilson has no direction, no vision.  Oh, pardon me, it's to beat Miami every year even if it means going 0-14 otherwise.  He has at least stated that much, so my bad there.  When was the last time that Wilson expressed a desire to win the Super Bowl for instance?  Other owners express it or similar all the time.  Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder are ultimately dissatisfied in not achieving that.
